How to read it
What an active streak is, how it compares with the record, and why a long streak says nothing about the next match.
- An active streak = how many matches in a row, up to the last one played, the same thing has happened (for example, unbeaten). Streaks run across seasons, but stop if the team spent a season in another league in between (a gap of more than 180 days in our database).
- Records are calculated on the league matches in our database, from the 2023-24 season; the league record = the longest streak of the teams now in the league.
- A long streak makes neither its continuation nor its end more likely: every match is a new one. The streak only says what has happened so far.
- “Home only” / “away only” count only the matches at that venue, in a row.
